Hello! *blows off the dust on this blog*
Sorry for the extreme lack of updates! We've all been busy with school and other stuff. Mid-terms and all, I'm sure you understand.
Throughout that all, Interact's been going underground, if you get my meaning. :D
No I don't mean illegal underground, I just mean, we've been keeping things on the down low. It may seem like we haven't got anything going on but that's far from the truth.
In late March, we started our nominations process. In April, the nominees were given the Sports Day project, as is tradition. To all the people who bought from Interact Club on Sports Day, thanks! You guys helped make the project a success. Also, from that project, we started to see the potential in our future BODs.
The nominees were also given a hand to plan the I.U Project. I myself am not too sure of the full details, but I hear it's going to be pretty damn awesome.
Other than that, the nominees were also given a task to plan two virtual projects. About 2 weeks after Sports Day, they were asked to present one of those virtual projects. Personally, all of the teams impressed me in different ways. I can't divulge anymore than that, sorry!
Their next virtual project - the camp - will be presented after the holidays, if I'm not mistaken. Look forward to that, because if the plan is real good, we just might be planning the real thing!
Throughout the process so far, I personally have seen a lot of potential in the nominees. Some have impressed me, some have tried to impressed but failed, some have surprised me, some have warmed up to me and some have shown me their true colours. But all in all, I suppose the nominees this year aren't too bad a batch. (*sniffles* I still think my year had the best batch of nominees. :D)
BUT the nominations process isn't over yet! There's still the evaluation of the I.U. Day Project as well as their interview. MUAHAHAHA, I've been waiting for this day forever!! HAHA. Don't worry, I'll try to be nice. :)
Also, several Interact members joined the bowling competition held by Bandar Sunway Rotary about a month or so ago. I heard it was great fun but I didn't go, so I suppose you'll have to wait till one of those who did go decide to speak up about it. :)
P.S: Please keep an eye on the blog for updates on I.U Day. I really wasn't joking when I said I heard it's going to be awesome. No, srsly.

New School Year + What We've Done So Far + Future Activities
The new school year has started!
I'm sorry the blog is getting slightly dusty but now that school has started again, we're gonna have a lot more activities (and hopefully, more updates!).
This year's AGM was kept simple and it was quite a success, if I may say so myself. What really impressed me was that we had quite a number of people who turned up for the interview the next day. To those guys who turned up for the interview, THANK YOU! You have no idea how much that helped us to know your perspective on things and we're really grateful for that.
For those who didn't attend the interview though, no worries. As long as you frequently attend the meetings (remember to get your attendance from Int. Liew Sher Mun, the tall spiky haired dude), you are a member of the Interact Club. On the other hand, even if you attended the meeting but you do not come for the meetings nor do you actively participate in our activities, your name will be cancelled out.
Also, for those not in the know, today was our first official General Meeting of the year. We had a pretty decent turnout, with both familiar and new faces in the crowd. We had several announcements made about the I.U Project as well as the Friendship Day Project. We also had a little sketch about Italy and we all learned some new facts about Italy.
Did you know that we have the Italians to thank for smelling good? The cologne was invented by an Italian!
Members were moderately participative but I must commend the members for paying attention to us most of the time. :)
Special thanks to the members who helped out with the Italy sketch!
Oh and make sure you guys come for the next General Meeting! There might be another hilarious sketch like that. :D
In somewhat related news, there will be a Production for Friendship Day tomorrow (16-01-2010) from 8am to 11am at No. 93, Jalan SS19/4. Bring your stationeries, glue and scissors! For more details, please call Int. Sarah at 016-3160125 as she's the one in charge of this project. Thanks.

Bulletin Board + Meetings
Yo! I'm back. After a long hiatus of no updates, I promise I will try to be more active in posting here, hokay? Someone just has to, uh, remind me.
But I digress.
In case you haven't noticed, the Interact Bulletin Board has been given a makeover quite a while back. The work of our new Editor-in-Chief and Sub-Editor, Nadia and Ping respectively. Show them your appreciation anduse your imagination check it out more often.
I like the Interact bear comic strip. It's so funny! I think the bear should be our new mascot. Hahah!
Ahem. Anyway.
The board is constantly updated, because Nadia works fast, so really, you should check it out more often for new information and stuffs like that. Also, just a little trivia for you, Nadia was the one who designed the pink Talent Quest flyers you see all over the school. She was also asked to design the backdrop for the Talent Quest event itself, but she turned it down due to time restraint and other priorities.
:))
At any rate. We have a new feature on the new bulletin board, which is the simple yet effective calendar. The calender is changed every month, and it is filled with information like the days of BOD meeting, General Meeting, events and projects. Also, it lists the funny days we should be celebrating but aren't due to lack of knowledge; knowledge that we now have, thanks to Nadia and her calendar.
Did you all celebrate Speak-in-Rhymes Day on the 30th of June? I did. For about 10 seconds.
Nadia: Hey, it's Speak-in-Rhymes Day! Let's celebrate it with hay!
Me: .... Okay....
Right.
This month though, there are more hilarious days to celebrate, so make sure you go and check out the date on the Interact bulletin board!
While I'm here, I might as well inform/remind all of you about several things:
1. BOD members! There is a BOD meeting this Friday, 3/7, after school at 3 Gamma. And another one on 17/7, which is two weeks from now.
2. All other members! There are General Meetings on Friday, 10/7 and 24/7. Yes, we are alternating the General Meetings with the BOD Meetings so it should be easier for you guys to remember the date. All other details are as follows:

3. I.U Day is sometime this month, so keep your eyes peeled for more news of that. Either on here or on the bulletin board.
Oh and one last thing before I go, for those not in the know, the Interact Bulletin Board is right beside the PMR Lab 1 (which also happens to be the class of the Club President Zhiying, Club Secretary yours truly, Club Treasurer Natalie and I.U. Director Phanit :D). And the PMR Lab 1 is beside the PMR Lab 2. And the PMR Lab 2 is beside the sepak takraw court. There you go. A succint map on where the bulletin board is. :)

Zilla
CAMPZILLA= 100% AWESOMESAUCE
Those who did not participate in this year's Campzilla Reloaded (joint Interact, Leo and RELA), well... sucks to be you! join next year lah.
Thank you so much to the camp committee for your hard work and dedication, you guys rock! :D The shirt is also super cool... can colour it!
The three winning teams this year:
#1 Malibu
#2 Tasmanian Devils
#3 Haven't Name Yet? (my team okay!!!)
Oh yeah, on behalf of group Haven't Name Yet?, I'd like to thank our adviser, Andy! XD Especially for taking us to Pokemon World and Digimon World with your retarded map.
A word of advice for next year: be like Sher Mun and BRING AN AIR BED. Air cond and bath tub also if you can.
Moving on, there are a few announcements to be made. Firstly, ILTS has been postponed until further notice. All BODs, there will probably be a meeting before the even to arrange transport to the SS17 school. So, those who haven't bought their uniform yet, here's your chance to redeem yourself!
And... your name tags are ready! So, BODs, please pay up RM 15 to Nat ASAP because I used my own money to pay the rest. =.=
Plus... Pingu and I have souped up the Interact Board at school already! It's not complete, but take a look and tell us what you think. Sorry Rern Sean and Sheng Ling, your names aren't up yet because I printed them in wrong colour...
Just a reminder... Hari Keluarga/Talent Quest coming soon! ;)
Nadia
EDIT;;;
Sorry this came up so late. Nadia actually went and posted it in the wrong blog. She posted it in our old link, which was supposed to be deleted a while back but again, a mistake on my part, I've been too busy to delete it. Anyway, this won't happen again, hopefully. And to the BODs about to make a post, make sure you're making it in the right blog.
Also, Malibu FTW. Oh wait, they DID win. HOHO. My team my team! The awesomes! Pretz Zhiying was our advisor, unfortunately, he often only popped up to wave the flag around. LOL.
Good luck with adjusting your alarm clocks back to the early hours of the morning, school starts tomorrow!
And with that, I end this post. Goodbye and good night. :)

Blogging Guidelines + Labels Mega Post #1
Hello everyone!
First post in the new Interact SMKSU blog! Cheers all round!
Currently under renovation, so there's really nothing much to see right now. But feel free to browse through the old Interact blog which shall be made extinct as soon as this one is up and running! :D
Right now, I'm using this post to add new labels to the blog to make it easier for everyone to search for a particular post or whatever. But I have to use another post soon, cause one post only allows 200 characters for labels. -___-
**IMPORTANT**
To the other BODs who has access and would wish to blog something, this is a list of things you can blog about:
The others, well, you are welcome to blog about them anytime you like!
A couple of things I would like you to follow when blogging to makes moderating this blog easier:
Right now, that's all I can think of. But yeah, all the basic rules of blogging apply, okay?
And oh yeah, I forgot. I'm a stickler for proper punctuation. So sue me. But if I see a post with writings like this (HeY, I aM hErE tO tEll yOu...), or like this (hey,i am here to tell you this.please don't forget...) I am going to edit it. Just telling you first, to avoid you feeling hurt or whatever. Sorry, I'm just a neat freak like that. I like all my blogs to be organized and nice-looking.
Other than that, BODs, enjoy yourself! :)
Last warning/reminder before I leave,
Srsly, do not randomly add new labels as you please. SRSLY.

**IMPORTANT**
To the other BODs who has access and would wish to blog something, this is a list of things you can blog about:
- Interact projects. This includes but is not limited to information about upcoming Interact projects, post-mortem of an Interact project, your own pictures/views/ramblings about an Interact project you attended, etc.
- Announcements. Things like announcements about general meetings (GM), BOD meetings, productions, etc.
- Interact news. Anything new with the Interact club.
- Messages from the BODs. Want to send out a message to the Interactors of SMKSU? You can do so here but please restrain your language.
- Basically anything Interact-related. As long as you keep the more flowery and colourful side of your language to yourself. Otherwise, either Nadia or myself will have to delete that entry and have a talk to whoever posted that.
The others, well, you are welcome to blog about them anytime you like!
A couple of things I would like you to follow when blogging to makes moderating this blog easier:
- Please include a title that is relevant and informative. Eg, if you're blogging about an upcoming general meeting, your title can be something like, 'General Meeting on [insert date here]'. Don't worry about giving crap titles; if you do it wrongly I can always help to edit it. ^^
- Please include labels for every post. This is to make it easier for me, you and everyone else to search for a post later on. And remember, the labels have to be relevant to the post itself! Eg, you can't put the label 'pictures' for a post that doesn't contain any pictures, right?
- Please do not create new labels by yourself! This is of utmost importance. No matter what circumstances you're under, you will not create new labels! If you do, you will make my life as the moderator hell. And in return, I shall make your life hell. *eyes all of you maliciously*
Only use the ones I have created. If you don't know the labels, next to the blanks where you type in the labels, there's a link 'see all' or something like that. Click that, all the labels
will come out. Then just click one to add it to the post. It's that simple! - Please leave your name at the end of the post. Eg.
Hey!
[POSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOST]
- Gee [Or whatever your name is]
Right now, that's all I can think of. But yeah, all the basic rules of blogging apply, okay?
